Getting started with Clarobid

From sign-up to your first applied bid change in about ten minutes. Stuck? Write to [SUPPORT EMAIL].

1. Sign up

  1. Go to clarobid.com/signup and enter your name, email and a password.
  2. Open the confirmation email from Clarobid and click Confirm my email.
  3. Sign in. You land on the Overview with sample data, so you can look around before connecting Amazon.
  4. Clarobid works in any modern browser on a computer, tablet or phone. Use Text size in the account menu (your initial, top right) to make everything larger.

2. Bring in your Amazon data

A. Bulk file (works right away)

  1. In Amazon Ads (advertising.amazon.com) open Sponsored ads › Bulk operations.
  2. Create a Sponsored Products bulk file. Tick the options for performance data and search term data, and pick the last 30 days. Download the .xlsx.
  3. In Clarobid open Settings › Amazon accounts › Import bulk file, choose the file, the marketplace and the account type.
  4. Next time, download a fresh file and use Import a newer bulk file… from the account menu at the top.

B. Amazon Ads API (daily sync and one-click changes)

  1. At developer.amazon.com create a Login with Amazon security profile and copy its Client ID and Client secret.
  2. In the profile’s Web Settings add the Allowed Return URL https://clarobid.com/oauth/amazon/callback.
  3. Apply for Amazon Ads API access with that Client ID and wait for Amazon’s approval.
  4. In Clarobid: Settings › Amazon accounts › API keys, paste the ID and secret, then + Seller account or + Vendor account and sign in. The first sync downloads 60 days of data.

Your Client secret and Amazon sign-ins are stored encrypted and only sent to Amazon.

3. Your first changes

  • Overview lists the bid changes worth making today. Tick the ones you agree with.
  • Search terms adds converting searches as keywords and blocks wasting ones.
  • Research shows words that waste money across all your campaigns.
  • Bulk file accounts: click Export and upload the file in Amazon Ads › Bulk operations. API accounts: click Apply.

Tip: for your first upload, export just a few changes and check the result in Amazon before exporting everything.

4. Autopilot rules

Six rules run on their own schedules. Every rule starts off and set to Ask me first: you see what it would change and approve it. Switch the rules you trust to Automatic after a week. Rules run on Clarobid’s servers, also when your browser is closed. Every run can be undone for seven days.

5. Budgets

On Budget management, click the pencil next to a portfolio or campaign to set a monthly or date-range cap. Choose Pace it for me to have Clarobid set the daily budget so the cap lasts, or Pause at the cap. Automatic pacing and pausing need an API account; bulk file accounts get an upload file with the suggested budgets.

6. Summary emails for your manager

  1. Open Summary reports. Tick the marketplaces, pick the period and the currency for totals.
  2. Click Metrics to choose what goes in, or start from Manager overview, Ads deep-dive or Operations. Untick sections you don’t need.
  3. Click Schedules › Email account. Choose your provider (Gmail, Microsoft 365, Outlook.com, iCloud, Yahoo or other), enter your email address and the separate sign-in password from your email account’s security settings, then Save and send a test email to me.
  4. Click + New scheduled summary: add the addresses, pick daily, weekly or monthly, the days and the time, and PDF, Excel or CSV.

Gmail, Outlook.com, iCloud and Yahoo need a separate sign-in password made in your email account’s security settings; your normal password won’t work. Summaries go out on schedule, also when your browser is closed.

7. AI Assistant

Create an API key at console.anthropic.com and paste it in Settings › AI Assistant. Usage is billed by Anthropic, typically a few cents per question. Without a key, common questions still work: “Am I on pace this month?”, “Find wasted spend”.

Troubleshooting

The confirmation or password email doesn’t arrive

Check your spam folder and mark the email “Not spam”. Links work for one hour; on Forgot password you can ask for a new one.

Everything looks small

Click your initial (top right) and use Text size A+ to enlarge the dashboard. Your browser remembers the choice.

The test email fails

Check the server, port and security: STARTTLS on port 587 or SSL/TLS on port 465. Use the separate sign-in password from your email account’s security settings. If your Microsoft 365 admin has turned off SMTP sign-in, ask them to allow it for your mailbox.

Sync failed

Open the account menu at the top and click Sync now. If Amazon asks you to sign in again, use Reconnect in Settings › Amazon accounts.

FAQ

Is my Amazon data safe?

Your campaign data, costs and settings are kept in your own private Clarobid account, which only you can sign in to. Your Amazon sign-in, API keys and email password are stored encrypted and only used to talk to Amazon and your email server. We never sell or share your data.

Do I need Amazon Ads API access?

No. You can start today with a bulk file downloaded from Amazon Ads: Clarobid reads it and exports an upload file with its changes. With Amazon Ads API access, Clarobid syncs 60 days of daily data and applies changes directly.

Will it change my bids without asking?

Only if you want it to. Suggestions wait for you to apply them, and Autopilot rules start as “Ask me first”. Automatic rules stay inside guardrails you set: bid floor and ceiling, a maximum change per run and a cool-down per keyword. Every run can be undone for seven days.

Can it email a report to my manager?

Yes. Summary reports compile sales, ads, inventory, budgets and listings for the marketplaces you pick, with the metrics you choose, and send them as PDF, Excel or CSV from your own email account, daily, weekly or monthly at the time you set. Summaries go out on schedule even when your browser is closed.

Does it work with several marketplaces and Vendor accounts?

Yes. Add Seller and Vendor accounts in North America, Europe and the Far East. Budget management and Summary reports switch between them, and summaries compare marketplaces side by side with totals in one currency.

What happens after the free trial?

After 14 days Clarobid asks you to pick a plan. Your data and settings stay in your account, so you continue exactly where you left off.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Plans are monthly or yearly with no long contract. Cancel from your account and your plan runs until the end of the period you paid for.

Do you add VAT?

Prices are shown without VAT. Businesses in the EU with a VAT number pay no VAT (reverse charge). Private buyers and Swedish businesses pay their country’s VAT at checkout, and every purchase comes with a proper invoice from our payment partner.

How does the AI Assistant work?

Add your own Anthropic API key in Settings and ask in plain words. The Assistant reads your campaigns, search terms, stock and budget, and prepares changes on a card for you to approve. Standing rules such as “never pause brand campaigns” always apply. Common questions also work without a key.

Can Clarobid edit my Amazon listings?

Not directly. The Listing optimizer scores your listing and drafts a better one, and you copy it into Seller Central. Campaign builder and placement changes come as an Amazon Ads upload file, so you stay in control of what goes live.

Does it work on a Mac, tablet or phone?

Yes. Clarobid runs in any modern browser on Mac, PC, iPad, Android tablets and phones. There’s nothing to install.
